Retail Space Blooms on Beltline’s Eastside Trail – Sixty West Funds targets 12,600+ SF in O4W

“More than 200,000 square feet of retail space is opening along the Atlanta Beltline’s Eastside Trail — the largest amount of new projects since the completion of Ponce City Market.

Grocery stores, including a Publix and a redeveloped Kroger; an AMC Theatre; restaurants from top chefs including Kevin Gillespie; bars and coffee shops; and fitness studios — all will open along the Eastside Trail over the next several months.

Few parts of intown Atlanta will add as much retail this year…

In the era of dying regional malls and the rise of Internet-driven shopping, the Eastside Trail proves retailers want to relocate and expand in busy, walkable districts. Some two million people used the Eastside Trail last year, according to a Beltline spokeswoman.”

Since the designation of Qualified Opportunity Zones in 2018, with over 260 located in Georgia, Sixty West Funds has targeted various projects with potential for retail and mixed-use development. Most notably, the O4W Project set to break ground later this year features over 12,600 SF of retail space.
