The Association for Corporate Growth hosted their 2019 InterGrowth meeting this past week at the Waldorf Astoria and Hilton Bonnet Creek in Orlando, Florida. The event hosted more than 2,000 attendees with a collective $188B in investment opportunity.
Sixty West Principal Jason Cordon spoke on the Navigating and Capitalizing on Opportunity Zones Panel. InterGrowth’s featured sessions curated by ACG focused on timely, relevant and sometimes provocative topics that explore their impact on society and lifestyle, as well as business.
The session covered the details of the US Tax Cut and Jobs Act Opportunity Zone Program and its impact on M&A. Panelists discusses the risks, complexities, and constraints associated with OZs and how to identify good versus bad OZs. Panelists also shared their thoughts on why private equity should care about the program, how private equity can interact with OZs, and their thoughts on engaging with local municipalities.
