Sixty West Funds hosted its first Opportunity Zone: The Investors Perspective luncheon on Wednesday, November 28th, 2018. Discussed topics included opportunity zone basics, transaction and fund structures, investor economics, and Sixty West’s approach to the incentive.
Principal Robert Lay spoke at the event highlighting regulations, eligibility, and targeted properties currently in the Sixty West Funds pipeline. The Sixty West opportunity zone portfolio includes over $750 M in development opportunity via the Opportunity Zone program.
Locations of qualified opportunity zone properties targeted by Sixty West include top 100 U.S. Markets, with a specific focus on urban areas. Mr. Lay focused on the companies Atlanta based projects, featuring the Old Fourth Ward, Echo Westside, and Quarry Park projects specifically. All three developments are strategically located along the Beltline which is projected to generate $10-20 billion in economic development once completed.
